What is the difference between Tasmanian and New Zealand Manuka Honey?Most Manuka honey available comes from New Zealand. However in Tasmania we have a small stand of the same Manuka trees on our North East Coast. The Honey collected in Tasmania is exactly the same as the honey collected in New Zealand. However as only a very small amount of Manuka honey is collected in Tasmania it is uneconomical to have it tested for its UMF rating.
Therefore we do not know if the Tasmanian Manuka honey has a rating of 5+, 20+ or higher. However we have had many excellent reports from our happy customers about the honeys effectiveness... and it is substantially cheaper than the New Zealand product.
We like to offer you a choice of both the New Zealand and Tasmanian Manuka honeys. If you want to be sure you are getting a certain rated honey then we suggest you purchase New Zealand Manuka. Otherwise we suggest you try the Tasmanian Manuka.
Tasmanian Manuka is also available as a blend with either Royal Jelly, Propolis, Bee Pollen or Ginseng.
